by *~ Sadie ~*, 16 days agoFor a while, we really hadn't been following our late sign up, no-show and being online ON TIME rules. Because of that, many people were taking advantage of it.
It stops now.
Beginning on Monday, per our rules, if you sign up and no show you will be docked five DKP points OR the amount of DKP that was awarded for the night which ever is GREATER. (don't think it's that much? On a good night, we are awarding 10-15 points.)
If you aren't online at 5:00 server and you haven't informed an officer prior that you would be late, you will become last on the invite list. If there is an open spot when you finally log on, you will get an invite but we will no longer hold spots for people who aren't online for invites unless we are aware that they are going to be late. If you aren't online by 5:30 server, you are considered a no show and will be docked DKP. If you aren't online on time, you will not receive participation DKP for the night.
If you sign up late, you are LAST on the priority list even if it effects the raid. Lately we have had a high occurrence of healers and/or tanks and/or officers signing up late. (me included - I have had 2 late sign ups in the past two weeks) If you sign up late and there is someone that can fill your role, you will not be participating. If you DO get an invite, you will not receive participation DKP for the night.
If you habitually do any of the above, you will be permanently benched or removed from the guild.
We are not doing farming raids at this time - we are pushing progression. Some of the new fights require that we build a group with a specific make up in order to be successful. No shows, late sign ups, etc don't allow us to do that effectively. We do not like sitting people out, we do not like docking people points and we do not like replacing people but the reality is if you want to be a raider in Magic and Mayhem you need to follow our rules.
We aren't a guild that bloats its roster to have back ups sitting around waiting for spots in case there are no shows, etc but if lateness, no shows and not signing up on time issues continue we won't have a choice but to start allowing for a little more competition for raid spots so that we can make sure that we always have the roles/classes that we need.

[Shadowmourne]
Second, the M&M Ranks and Raiding Rules page has been updated to reflect the recent rank changes. Please read over it.
